Sarah Wood
After a first career as a production manager and publisher for a range of UK and overseas commercial publishers, Sarah transferred her skills to undertake a unique role in establishing a private office of a prominent Italian industrialist family. Looking for a new challenge after holding this post for over twenty years, Sarah pursued a degree in Middle East studies at the University of Exeter and joined the department in her current role immediately upon graduation.
Since joining the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies in 2018, Sarah has supported a wide portfolio of research projects for the department, providing both pre and post award support, working alongside our academic partners, PhD students and research fellows. Sarah is the department lead support for all research related activities, and as a member of the University of Exeter research services team, connects across the range of departments and services that are essential to the effective navigation of grant funded projects.
